Chukwuka Ekweani (born 16 July 1995), better known by his stage name CKay (SEE-kay), is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and record producer signed to Warner Music South Africa, and Atlantic Records. He was formerly signed to Chocolate City, a member of Warner Music Group independent label services ADA. His international hit single “Love Nwantiti“, also known as “Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah)“, was released in 2019 by Chocolate City. On 29 March 2022, the song debuted at number one, following the launch of the Billboard Afrobeats chart. On 9 May 2022, it became the first African song in history to surpass one billion streams on Spotify, and this time, he embark on his music career to release this phenomenal Albumum track titled “Sad Romance” which is here for your pleasing audience and free MP3 download at our platform, Mixloaded.com.

Sad Romance marks CKay’s debut album, following his February 2021 EP, Boyfriend. His first single was his July 2019 breakthrough song, “love Nwantiti,” which garnered him critical attention due to its catchy chorus, which trended on social media. He followed it up with his December 2021 single dedicated to his significant other, “emiliana.” He then released two more singles, “WATAWI” and “you” respectively.

CKay confirmed the album when he uploaded a teaser video on social media, disclosing the album’s tracklist and release date, as well as the additional features, who were, Ayra Starr, Davido, Focalistic, Abidoza, Mayra Andrade, and Ronisia.

Although little was known about the album’s existence, the artist did not want to divulge any details about the album, but he indicated that the songs on his album are inspired by real-life events:

Like I mentioned earlier, every time I make music, I listen to my music and most of the time, when I like my music, people like it too. So if I think the album is really great, it means you’re gonna think it’s great too. And I’m super excited for it and yeah, lots of Emo Afrobeats lots of stories to tell, more emotions to share with the world and yeah, I can’t wait for you guys to listen. […] the whole album is about real stories and, everything connects.
